“I think the difference between a lie and a story is that a story utilizes the trappings and appearance of truth for the interest of the listener as well as of the teller. A story has in it neither gain nor loss. But a lie is a device for profit or escape. I suppose if that definition is strictly held to, then a writer of stories is a liar - if he is financially fortunate.”
Both are different from each other and also we can say that it's not for all.
Now a days the people can not differentiate that two word from the literature they think that all literature is fall of lies.
Many poets , writers ,fiction writers are liars ,in a such ways we can find from different points.
Fiction ?Sana 'imagination 'about something .
Many of them posts write about thier imagination in their own poem .We can say that poet is involved his / her self in. Poem and personal attachment . We find in poems .
Examples of george Orwell's *'AnimalFarm'* is beat example of fiction writing and also for lies writing .
In the fictional work *'AnimalFarm'* Orwell gave the voice to animal farm and create a such kind of imagination that animals also speake like human beings .
So, fiction writing that is possible not in actual world .
Here we find .. that plato wote in his famous work *'The Republic'* that for poets "poets are liars and they speak lies in his / her poems ."Beause poetry is full of whatever he/she feels.
Lying is very different from fiction , yes a lie is teachnically fiction but not the other way round . The purpose of fictional writing is not to deceive.
Fiction is ment for art or entertainment . A lie is usually a manipulating . But then for example ...... We feel bad when because a writer has manipulate our emotion .
The another example is *'Marryshelly 's Frankenstein -a moderpromatheous'*
Is also fictional work which we studied in our current semester .....
Victor give life to a dead one which is purely imagination or fiction or we can say this is "alternative fact" but claiming that it is fact that Victor gave life to dead is lie, which any literary writers never does. So it is like "alternative fact" or "alternative world" of literary writers and not lies.
Here we can say that ...
Therefore in favor of Plato we may think that whatever presents or described in novel or whatever the writers write is fiction and hence the writer is a liar.
Thank you ...........
