Da Vinci Code #Task ...

★Brown states on his website that his books are not anti-Christian, though he is on a 'constant spiritual journey' himself, and says that his book The Da Vinci Code is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate" and suggests that the book may be used "as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith."
◆ According to Dan Brown this novel "The Da Vinci Code" are not anti-christian through , he is on a 'constant spiritual journey himself, and says that his book. The Da vinci code  is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate" and suggests that the book may be used 'as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration or our faith. In this not brown depicted as the non believer of priory of Sion, including historical thing that is battle between opus dei and priory of Sion over the possibility of Jesus having been married to Mary Magdalene.
When we do traditional reading of the novel ‘The Da Vinci Code’, Robert Langdon, Professor of Religious Symbology, Harvard University emerges as protagonist and Sir Leigh Teabing, a British Historian as antagonist. Who will claim the position of protagonist if we do atheist reading of the novel?

◆If we do atheist reading of this book then Sir Leigh Teabing emerges as protagonist because he is more clear in his motives that he wanted to revile secretes about Holy Grail and wanted to give relaxation to the humanity from the clutches of Christianity.
·      He is not doing this all the things because of money, money is merely cover up for this things.
·      Robert Langdon becomes traditional hero.
·      He becomes secret keeper and not reviling that secret to humanity.
·      Robert Langdon also becomes blind follower of Christianity when he takes about accident happened to him and he fallen down into well that time he says that Jesus is there with him to save him and at the end of this movie when finally he found that Holy Grail means sarcophagus of Mary Magdalene he kneels down to that sarcophagus of Mary Magdalene.
·      So, at the and Sir Leigh Teabing becomes real hero if we think from the point of view of atheist reading.

★What harm has been done to humanity by the biblical narration or that of Milton’s in The Paradise Lose? What sort of damage does narrative like ‘The Vinci Code’ do to humanity?
◆ While we are talking about story of 'Genesis' or Bible about Eve and Adam, it creates the typical role for men and women. Generally Bible has done big harm with women's life by make men the creator of life, once women considered as sacred who brings life but it posed the threat to the male church. So, they starts to kill free thinking women who can't raise any question to religion. Story of Eve and Adam as responsible for the fall of humanity which mostly blame Eve to entices Adam to eat an apple and that's why the great punishment has given to women in form of bitter pain during the child birth which is greater harm to humanity. In Da Vinci Code, main three aspects are there which can harm humanity that are
1) Portrayal of Sophie's character at some point when two male (Robert & Teabing) are talking about the history and some facts, shown dumb as it happens stereotypically women kept away from knowledge and logical reasoning as in case of Adam and Eve that Adam do logical thinking and kitchen work done by Eve.
2) Robert's faith in God, when at the end he come to know about secret of Mary Magdalene's Sarcophagus, he kneels down as he reaches to pilgrimage like people do in front of Christ in church which may harm humanity and
3) The murders that happens in the name of religion by Silas, a blind follower of religion and after killing does the ritual of self-flagellation.

★What harm has been done to humanity by the biblical narration or that of Milton’s in The Paradise Lose? What sort of damage does narrative like ‘The Vinci Code’ do to humanity?
◆Bible bounds religion or people through religion. It also makes man to God. But the most harmful thing is it attacks female as unworthy and reason for downfall of human kind. Paradise Lost tries to show logically with giving Eve some space. But it also decreases women. Many ways ‘The Da Vinci Code’ breaks human faith with showing history of Christianity. Though it tries to show feminine sacredness somehow it also harms women with objectifying them. We cannot say now, let some more years pass…
★What difference do you see in the portrayal of 'Ophelia' (Kate Winslet) in Kenneth Brannagh's Hamlet, 'Elizabeth' (Helena Bonham Carter) in Kenneth Brannagh's Mary Shelley's Frankenstein or 'Hester Prynne' (Demi Moore) in Roland JoffĂ©'s The Scarlet Letter' or David Yates's 'Hermione Granger' (Emma Watson) in last four Harry Potter films and 'Sophie Neuve' (Audrey Tautau) in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code? How would justify your answer.
◆             Ophelia, Hester, Hermione, Kenneth Brannagh's all are compare to the Da vinci codo’s Sophie Neuve' was portrayal.

Scarlet Letters'  Hester prynnewas strength or honest women.  She's a self-sufficient single mother in puritan society. Hester Prynne was Beautiful, sensitive mother, love for her child, innocent and hopeless character. They is suffering in her life.  She was a love into Dimmesdale but society was not accepted to the love. Because hester is married women and they was born in one child.  At last the relation was problematic in a way and they have portrayal in the movie or novel.
Hamlet’s Ophelia is a fictional character in the play. They are very beautiful, emotional, sensitive character. They are love into hamlet or many scenes Ophelia as nakedness, use for sex and her madness. Portrayal   of Ophelia at end Ophelia was die.
Harry potter’s Hermione is very intelligent, powerful brilliant academic mind and photographic memory. Hermione Granger is ported as someone who is devoted to learning new things. Hermione was emotional scene in to friends Ron or Harry potter. She was not helpless but have modern girl.
Kenneth Branagh’s Frankensteinin Elizabeth was Beautiful, Innocent and weak character. She is loneness girl because narration is not good and they have complaisantly. They can have helpless character in Mary shelly novel.
Da vinci code novel was related to the anti-Christian.Sophie was intelligent, smart or not believes in God.  The text can prove the idea of priory of Sion and they have most important of the movie. Sophie in ‘The Da Vinci Code’ is beautiful. Feminine sacredness is shown when Robert kisses Sophie on her forehead.  If they can have women character is portrayal or they related to the Sophie.

★Do novel/ film lead us into critical (deconstruction) thinking about your religion ? Can We think of such conspiracy theory about Hindu religious Symbols/myths?

◆ Yes, I agree film lead us into deconstruction thinking about your religion.
Swastika is symbol in positive or Hindu swastika. It is a symbol of renaissance or they have symbol of luck or good – Good blessing. It is very important in to Hindu society.

“They are truth, they are belief truth “
Da vinci code novel was real Christianity. They are speculative, suspense thriller or detective story.  Hitler swastika borrowed those sentiments to rally support behind the Nazi Party.
Pentacle –
Which symbol make for pentacle.it is related in to male or female?  In this Point Da Vinci Code protagonist symbolically match the Anti- Religious idea of modern look. It is the symbol of positive, pious, blissful   and dehumanization of the way. We know is truth are always contrast of knowledge to convince of related things of how to connect to impression.
★Have you come across any similar book/movie, which tries to deconstruct accepted notions about Hindu religion or culture and by dismantling it, attempts to reconstruct another possible interpretation of truth?
◆Of course this type of novel or movies leads to deconstruct religion or doubting it. It raises debate in minds. But to find conspiracy about Hindu religion, it takes more time and vast reading. one example is ‘100 Ramayanas’. It is said that, ‘BhagvadGita’ is not there in Mahabharata but added… there are other examples related with deconstruction of Hindu Gods.
★When we do traditional reading of the novel ‘The Da Vinci Code’, Robert Langdon, Professor of Religious Symbology, Harvard University emerges as protagonist and Sir Leigh Teabing, a British Historian as antagonist. Who will claim the position of protagonist if we do atheist reading of the novel?

◆When we do traditional reading of the novel 'The DA Vinci Code', Robert Langdon, Profecer of religious symbology, Harvard University emerges as protagonist and sir Leigh Teabing, a British historian as antagonist. Teabing will claim the position of protagonist if we do atheist reading of the novel.
★Explain Ann Gray’s three propositions on ‘knowability’ with illustrations from the novel ‘The Da Vinci Code’.
◆Deals with the assumption, all the characters claims that they are known something.
Sir Leigh Teabing and Robert Langton both are in the quest for the truth of Holy Grail.
ir Leigh Teabing known about the greed of Aringarosa whereas Langdon and Sophie has pure intentions.
