Notice writing is an essential skill taught in middle school (Classes 6, 7, and 8). A notice is a formal means of communication meant to convey important information to a specific group of people. It is always enclosed in a box and follows a specific standard format.
The Standard Format of a Notice
* Name of the School / Organization (at the very top)
* NOTICE (written in capital letters)
* Date of issuing the notice (left-aligned)
* Heading / Subject (a brief statement of what the notice is about)
* Body of the Notice (should cover the 5 Ws: What, When, Where, Who, and Whom to contact)
* Signature, Name, and Designation of the person issuing the notice

Key Tips to Remember for Exams
* Word Limit: Keep the body concise and strictly within 50 words (excluding the format details).
* Box: Always draw a neat box around the notice using a pencil.
* Passive Voice: Try to use passive voice where possible (e.g., "It is hereby informed..." instead of "I am informing you...").
